Crossing Over

Several weeks ago my friend had a dilemma. As is my life style, I bring my problems and my friends problems to the Lord and ask for His help.
This problem was a need for direction and more. The more would involve a peace about what her husband was wanting her to do, work full time.
Over the weeks we prayed , my exhortation was , to expect that the Lord would answer her somehow , in His word.
When her answer came , she and I rejoiced in how wonderfully her answer had come. Not only did the Holy Spirit lead her to scripture that encouraged her to honor her husbands request but also helped her to know which job , He had for her to apply for. The wrong job the doors closed, and the right job just made itself obvious for the applying.

When her answers came I became encouraged to seek the Lord for answers for myself. So many times , because it is just the right thing to do, I go ahead. Should I ask the Lord to show me where I am in His word with this situation I know that He would be faithful to answer me.

The LORD Watches The City

What about the benefits ? Many who live in America take note of the benefits . Others worry constantly about the benefits we seem to be losing . As a pilgrim just passing through I rejoice in the benefits granted me by my LORD and King .
Can they be lost ?
There is a lot to be learned from Psalms 127 . Understanding of this passage of scripture could certainly affect my quality of life .
Psalms 127
1.Unless the Lord builds the house,
its builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchmen stand guard in vain.
2. In vain you rise early
and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to those he loves.

3. Sons are a heritage from the Lord,
children a reward from him.
4. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one's youth.
5. Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

How blessed am I to have a LORD and King that grants me such great benefits !
