A Testimony and A Prayer Request

My daughter made a terrible mistake . She was not watching what she was doing and several people have suffered because of it . It is not unlike a car accident . I remember reading years ago about a former Miss America's testimony . Her sister was driving the car she was in . Being young and inexperienced she made a terrible mistake . While passing a friend's house and being on a hill just high enough that the view of another car was obstructed , the two cars collided as she had swerved to the wrong side of the road . It was horrible . One woman died and several were injured . This young woman's testimony consisted of the love and nurturing care that her family gave her as she recovered from the accident . Then miraculous healing of her injured leg that had stopped growing temporarily actually lengthened later in her life . Giving God all the glory she went on to become a Miss America .
It is a testimony about how bad things do happen but God can show Himself in the healing process and even sometimes a miraculous touch to those who seemly have been permanently injured .
The Miss America's book told a little about how her sister had suffered emotionally because of the accident . A fellow who was known to be learning challenged had come into a store one time and said to her sister, "You killed .................." It so upset the sister even though she knew this fellow didn't have the capability to realize pointing out her mistake was not going to help her now. Miss America's family was special . They especially relied on the grace of God . When their children made mistakes they were able to show that grace to them .
Please pray for my daughter . She has made a terrible mistake . She did not do it on purpose . Some people are treating her as if she did . Please pray that she will be sustained with God's grace . It does not mean that she will not suffer consequences for her mistakes . However all who have been injured would do well to look to God for help , rather than keep reminding her she made a mistake .
